Planned Burns in Venman Bushland National Park Park alerts for Around Brisbane

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting planned burns in Venman National Park, between 23 July and 31 August 2018. The affected areas will include the western and central sections of Venman National Park, in the vicinity of West Mount Cotton Road. Smoke may be present within the park, and the surrounding communities of Priestdale, Mount Cotton, Shailer Park, and Daisy Hill. These burns are part of the annual hazard reduction and conservation management program for parks and forests, and they are undertaken to help protect life and property in the event of a wildfire. All burning will be dependent on the weather. During the planned burns, some areas of the park will be closed to public access. Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas. This page may be updated during the burning period. The affected areas will include the northwest section of Daisy Hill Conservation Park, in the vicinity of Dennis Road, Exilis Street, Underwood Road, and Ford Road. Smoke may be present within the park, and the surrounding communities of Daisy Hill, Springwood, and Priestdale. These burns are part of the annual hazard reduction and conservation management program for parks and forests, and they are undertaken to help protect life and property in the event of a wildfire. All burning will be dependent on the weather. During the planned burns, some areas of the park will be closed to public access. Planned burn, Bribie Island National Park Park alerts for Around Brisbane

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting planned burns within the Bribie Island National Park between Monday 23 July 2018 and Friday 27 July 2018, weather permitting. These operations form part of the hazard reduction and conservation management program for Queensland's parks and forests. Smoke may be seen on Bribie Island, in surrounding residential areas, northern Moreton Bay area and the Pumicestone Passage. Smoke can decrease visibility on the roads so it is important that motorists drive safely to the conditions. There are no park closures associated with these planned burns. Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter prohibited areas. Affected parks: Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area.
